REMOVAL OF THE SOLID PLAQUE – THE TARTAR
We perform the classic, ultrasound removal of the dental plaque and tartar. The mineralised, solid tartar is removed with the special adapter from your tooth surface above and under the gum. When the tartar has been accumulated on your teeth, the ordinary teeth brushing does not help to remove it, therefore the professional cleaning is inevitable. The treatment lasts from 20 to 45 minutes. The teeth might be sensitive to temperature after the procedure, but this is only temporary.
For more extreme cleaning and stains removal (due to coffee, nicotine, tea, coke, various colouring agents in the food, etc.) from the teeth surfaces the sandblasting with special dust (sodium bicarbonate) under pressure is recommended. The teeth may additionally be polished and coated by protective toothpastes (high level of fluoride). At the end, the teeth are polished with some extra toothpastes.
Whereas the tartar reaches deeper under the gum, the additional procedure is done – scaling, smoothing and curettage, which smooth the teeth roots and therefore the tooth plaque is less clanged to.
Whereas the deep gingival pockets are made due to a periodontal disease, sometimes an operative procedure is necessary in order to remove all the plaque and sick tissues. However, it is of vital importance to bear in mind that no therapy is successful without your cooperation. To be honest, a toothbrush, a dental floss and an indispensable interdental brush are still the cheapest.
