Dental Coatings – Crowns – Veneers

Nowadays the computer technology in the connection with the CAD-CAM systems for robotized milling offers the amazing results. Such an ambulant system is CEREC3 in the combination with the CEREC MC XL milling unit, which is known worldwide and is one of the latest acquisition at Pečnik Implants. What does a system actually offer you? The system enables the production of full ceramic crowns, partial crowns, ceramic fillings (inlays and onlays) and aesthetic dental scales – veneers just in one visit.

How? The procedure is the same at the beginning as with the classical production. The local anaesthesia and grinding for the crown, veneer or filling is the same as before. The difference starts with the impression; while the standard impressions use the impression mass, the CEREC3 makes the impression with the special camera, which takes the image of the teeth and just in a few hundredths of seconds transmits it to the computer. The computer with the extremely capable graphic programme then just in a few short steps creates the computer model of the crowns, veneers, etc. This virtual data is then sent to a CEREC MC XL unit, where a crown, a veneer, etc. is carved out of a solid block of the appropriate colour (6-30 min) and it is therefore ready for cementing on the prepared tooth. Moreover, it is to be pointed out that with such system the non-metal bridges and implants’ upgrades are possible to be made too, whereas the need for firm structure is bigger and therefore the additional processing in the dental lab is inevitable.

To sum up all the advantages:

  • the promptness of the production
  • only one check-up and one anaesthesia
  • excellent aesthetics, natural look
  • non-metal products
  • minimal carving out of the tooth substance
  • unnecessary standard impressions
  • no need for the temporary crowns
  • unprecedented accuracy ( 25 thousandth of mm)
  • without visible metal angles
  • without gum irritation
  • experiences in more than 10,000 restorations in 20 years
